Perth - State Theatre - Light World Tour 2011

I stumbled into a building, the State Theatre, that became my favourite installation in Perth. The project is fairly recent and was designed by Kerry Hill Architects. The entrance floor features an artwork by Matthew Ngui's, which 'uses light on glass to suggest the heat and cold of outer space; hues of fire and ice play momentarily and apparently at random'. It is supposedly interactive, but I couldn't find a pattern on the interactivity. Nevertheless I was amused to see people jumping over the floor to try to understand how the interaction in the installation worked, trying to figure out the response to their actions.
